Lane Duncan Miller

Lane Duncan Miller, 73, husband of Jan Waring Miller, passed away, Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Dominion Senior Living in Clemson.

Lane was born in Seneca, SC a son of the late Arthur Wilks "Bruno" and Gladys Duncan Miller.  He was a 1966 graduate of D.W. Daniel High School and a 1974 graduate of Clemson University.  Lane worked at Clemson University for over 30 years starting with the Athletic Department, he then worked and retired as the Associate Director of Residential Facilities and then later Operations manager at CU ICAR.

Lane was an avid Clemson Tiger fan, tailgating grillmaster, and friend to all who met him. He was a member of Tiger Brotherhood, was a past member of the Clemson Rotary Club and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Central.  Lane was a US Air Force veteran.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Jan is his son, Gregg Miller and his wife, Kim of Taylors, SC; daughter, Allison Wingard and her husband, David of Duluth, GA; two granddaughters that he adored, Abby Wingard and Sophia Miller; brothers, Whirl Miller and Bett of Clemson, Ray Miller and Cathy of Olathe, Kansas, Roger Miller and Mary of Lamar, SC, Steve Miller of Clemson, SC, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Lane was predeceased by his sister, Sybil Miller.

Memorial services will be 3 PM, Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Jonathan Harris officiating.

The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church or to the charity of one's choice.
