Larry Gene Chastain, 68, of Central died Friday, March 7, 2014 at Easley Baptist Hospital.
Born in Central he was a son of the late Rev. Lonnie Calhoun and Corrie Adelaide Henson Chastain. Gene was a Daniel High School graduate and a retired production manager with the Defore Plant of Milliken Company.
Surviving are sons, Timothy J. (Katherine) Chastain and Shaun (Kathryn) Chastain all of Clemson; brother, Jimmy Chastain of Liberty; half-brother, Wayne Chastain of Kingsport, TN; half-sister, Janet Greene of Kings Mountain, NC; grandchildren, Finn, Emmeline and Christopher McConnell Chastain.
Graveside services will be 10 AM, Monday at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central with Rev. James Wiggins officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the MS Foundation, 6520 North Andrews Ave.,, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309-2130 www.msfocus.org.
