Larry W. Christy entered eternity on October 30, 2011. He was born in Ottumwa, IA, lived for many years in Downers Grove, IL and then moved to South Carolina.
He is survived by his dear wife, Annette, his very dear mother, Lucille Christy, his devoted brother, Lynn (Joann) Christy, and his beloved children, Mark Christy and Kelly Kasper (Leo). He was a loving grandfather to Ken and Madi Christy, Sandra, Brian, Jr., Tony and Joey Kasper. Mr. Christy was also a very proud great-grandfather of Hailey and Elaina and a very affectionate uncle to Lisa Noonan (Mike), Chris Mortimer (Peter) and Chuck and Casey Del Moro. He also leaves behind his very faithful Sheltie, Chance.
His legendary laughter and jokes will always serve as a comforting memory to his family, many friends and dear neighbors.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 5, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
