Larry Edwin Fix, 74, of 408 Windham Lane, died Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late John E. and Mary Ellen Griffin Fix, Mr. Fix retired as a Master Sergeant with the US Marine Corps with twenty years of service and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He later retired from the Greenville County Library System. Mr. Fix attended Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of forty-two years, Sandra Corrente Fix of the home; three sons, Larry E. Fix, II, and wife Patricia of Spartanburg, Sergeant Major John Fix and wife, Lisa, of Baltimore, MD , Jeremy Todd Fix and wife, Theresa, of Atlanta, GA and a daughter Kimberly Ann Allen and husband, Keith, of Savannah, GA; a brother, Donald R. "Don" Fix of Simpsonville; a sister Julia Uldrick of Seneca; ten grandchildren, Lane Yates, Anna Fix, Skyler Allen, Griffin Fix, Evan Fix, Ashton Allen, Parker Fix, Sarah Fix, Camden Allen, and Isabella Fix. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, June Williams.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. David Gallamore officiating. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in the Veterans Garden of Honor of Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday and will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615.
The family is at the residence.
