Larry "Leo" Hunter

Larry (Leo) Clinton Hunter, son of Frank and Ada Spearman Hunter died at home on July 2, 2023. He was
a Park Street Baptist Church member and graduated from Easley High School, class of 1965, where he
played football, earning a scholarship at the University of South Carolina.

Larry joined the United States Airforce, serving in Germany, with tours in Thailand and many bases in
the USA. Larry was also a Vietnam Veteran.

After retiring from the Air Force with 20 years of service Larry became an air traffic control instructor at
Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS.

He had a degree from Jeff Davis in Mississippi Community College of the Air Force as well as an FCC
License. He enjoyed flying, earning his private pilot license. He taught FCC license courses at Gulf Coast
Community College.

Married to Sandra Gibson Hunter for 53 years, they had five children together: Miah Cutshell (David),
Wendelin Hunter, Andrew Hunter, and Daniel Hunter (Martha). They also had Shane Allen Hunter who
preceded him in death.

Larry is survived by five grandchildren, Mordechai Kimble, Elijah Hunter, Harrison Hunter, Hudson
Hunter, and Kennedy Hunter as well as lots of nieces and nephews.

Larry was predeceased by brothers Edward Hunter, Charles Hunter, Clyde Hunter, and his sister Clara
Day.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 1:45 pm Friday, July 7, 2023, at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Robinson Memorial Gardens-Honor Garden.
