Alvin Larry Norton, 72, of 850 Wren School Road and husband of Joan Reid Norton, passed away Wednesday January 14, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital - Downtown, Greenville.
Mr. Norton was born in Travelers Rest, SC to the late Alvin Harold and Edna Spake Norton. He retired from Graybar Electric after a career of 30 years. He was in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam Era and was a member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sisters, Mae Horton Edwards and Doris Jones (Rudy), all of Greenville, SC
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 10:45 am Saturday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of Doris and Rudy Jones, 323 Richmond Drive, Greenville, SC 29611.
