Larry Bruce Rhodes

Larry Bruce Rhodes, 75, beloved husband of the late Brenda Kaye Lyda Rhodes, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026.

Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late Bruce and Barbara Jean Burns Rhodes. Larry was a musician at heart, and enjoyed playing multiple instruments such as the banjo, guitar, piano, and many others. Over the years he also collected classic cars. His 1940 Ford being one of his favorites.

Larry is survived by his beloved daughter Tammi Burdette (Bracken) of Anderson; His grandchildren Joshua Burdette (Erin), Heather Purvis (Taylor); Chloe Higginbotham (Nate); his great-grandchildren Mason and Avery Burdette, and Ridge, June, and Ava James Purvis; his brother Ricky Rhodes; and his sister Lisa Poston (Jason).

In addition to his loving wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jesse Robert Rhodes.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 1:00PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Central, SC.
