Mr. Larry William Roper, 81, husband of sixty-two years to Mrs. Gloria Garrick Roper, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at his home.

Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Carl William and Mary Lee Capps Roper, Mr. Roper retired from True Temper Sports and was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church.

Mr. Roper was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Roper was predeceased by a daughter, Marcia Diane Roper.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 26, 2016 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
