Mr. James "Larry" Salmon, 73, husband of the late Maxine Wilson Salmon, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 in Warrenville, SC.
Born in Fayetteville, NC, a son of the late Cass Benton and Carrie Melton Salmon, Mr. Salmon retired from Steel Heddle in Greenville with thirty-one years of service. He was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church, and a member of the Bates Masonic Lodge 189 of Easley. Larry was a US Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War and served twenty-eight years with the Army National Guard.
Surviving are a son, Denis Salmon (Jennifer) of Warrenville, SC; a daughter, Sabina S. Cote (Randy) of Greenville; a sister, Frances Cooper of Dover, Delaware; and two grandchildren, Trevor and Kaitlyn Cote. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Salmon was predeceased by a son, Cass E. Salmon; two brothers, Charles and Robert Salmon; and two sisters, Peggy Jumaville and Doris Barnes.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
Following the service a reception will be held at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Sabina and Randy Cote, 705 Kenilworth Drive, Greenville, SC 29615.
Family members are at their respective homes.
