Larry W. Sloop
November 2, 1947 — July 23, 2019
Larry W. Sloop, 71 of Seneca SC, passed away on July 23, 2019 after an extended illness. He was the husband of Lavonne Hopkins Sloop.
Born in Mooresville, NC he was the son of the late Edger Brown Sloop and the late Sarah Elizabeth Rumage. In addition to his wife he is survived by his only son Matthew Preston Sloop and granddaughter Elara Jean Slattery-Sloop of Central SC.
Larry is survived by a brother, Dr. Wayne Sloop of Lynchburg, VA and a sister, Dianne Trull of Gastonia, NC.
He loved animals, especially his dog, Nena.
He was a retired Lab Tech Supervisor from BASF, Seneca, SC.
Visitation will be held on August 10, 2019 from 1:00-2:30 PM in the Commons Room of St. Mark United Methodist Church, 616 Quincy Road, Seneca, SC 29678.
A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church-DREAM II, or to a charity of your choice.
