Larry Neil Sneed

Larry Neil Sneed, 71, husband of Greta “Lorry” Golden Sneed, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025 in Greenville, SC.

Larry was born in Westwood, CA, a son of the late J.C. and Mavis Enola Conley Sneed. He was a graduate of Bob Jones University and was a Home Hospice Chaplain with Amedisys Home Health of Greenville. He attended Welcome Baptist Church. Larry had a passion for music and tractors, feeling immense pride when he finished restoring his grandfather’s Farmall tractor. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Basilean Literary Society at Bob Jones University. He had a keen interest in trains, music, cars, and reading, and he was also a history buff focused on the Civil War and World War II.  Larry spent his life serving his Lord by serving others..

Surviving in addition to his wife of 46 years, he was survived by 3 sons, Joseph Nathaniel Sneed and his wife, Laura of Ludlow Falls, OH, Thomas Neil Sneed and Mitchell Peter Sneed both of Central, SC; daughter, Neila Lorraine Sneed also of Central, SC; sister, Enola Curtis and her husband, Larry of Lampoc, CA; and grandchildren, William, Andrew, Nora Kathryn and Harper Jane Sneed; and his lifelong friend Ron Miller and his wife Kate of Wellford, SC.

In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by a brother, Buddy Sneed and a sister, Jane Lee Sneed.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Larry Neil Sneed will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Welcome Baptist Church, Central, SC.
