LAVADA L. GOSSETT Greenville
Lavada Lazel Gossett, 87, widow of Raymond R. Gossett, died Monday, April 27, 2009 at the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville. She was born in Pickens County, the daughter of the late Dewey and Mattie Young Reaves.
She is survived by sons, Dewey Gossett and wife Gayle of Mauldin and Jimmy Gossett and wife Sheryl of Simpsonville; daughter, Reubina Goss and husband Blaine of Mauldin; sister, Thelma Hester of Greenville, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a sister Ruth Land.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 1:45pm at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central. The family will receive friends at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home 1-1:30pm on Friday prior to the service. Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1809 Fork Shoals Road, Greenville, SC 29605. The family expresses special thanks to Abundant Life Hospice and to the McCall Hospice House.
