Easley

The Rev. Dr. Lawrence Bullard, 80, beloved husband of Mary Brown Bullard, made his journey on Sunday, October 13, 2024, two days shy of his 81st birthday. Born in Conway, SC, he was a son of Willie Mae Burney and John Gray Bullard. Rev. Dr. Bullard’s religious education was very extensive including graduating from Carson- Newman College; Southeastern Baptist Seminary; receiving his Doctorate from Drew University and accomplishing grad work at Oxford University.

After retirement, Dr. Bullard enjoyed cycling later in life, taking long trips through various states. Dr. Bullard liked the simple things in life.

 In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by sons, Lawrence Edward “Eddie” Bullard (Tara) and Andy Bullard (Mary); grandchildren, Kate, Joseph and Natalie Bullard, and brother, Gary Bullard Jr. (Sandra).

Along with his parents, Dr. Bullard is predeceased by a sister, Sharon Grice.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM, in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Greenville Free Medical Clinic at http://www.greenvillefreeclinic.org, which Dr. Bullard had a huge part in opening to serve the local community.
