Lawrence Thompson, 75, of 12 Owens Street, died Thursday, March 6, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital.

Born in Greenville County, a son of the late Lawrence and Azalee Morton Thompson, Mr. Thompson retired from Action Pattern Company, and was a member of Old Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army.

Surviving are his wife, Lenora Henry Thompson of the home; a daughter, Betty Jo Clark of Greenville; two step-sons, Jerry Henry of Conway and George Robert Henry of NY; a niece raised in the home, Evatt Sloan of NY; a brother, James Thompson of Simpsonville; three sisters, Margaret Wade of Simpsonville, Ole Mae Beal of Grreenville, and Georgia Lou Nelson of NY; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Old Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Anthony Wilson officiating.

The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley, and will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. Sunday where the family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.

The family is at the residence.
