Lee Ray McElroy

Lee Ray McElroy, 84, husband of Paulette McElroy, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2023.

Born in Madison County, GA, a son of the late Grover McElroy and the late Tellie Mae McElroy, he was a loving husband, father, brother, granddad, great-granddad, and family man who enjoyed maintaining the home, gardening, Georgia Bulldogs, and spending time with his family. Mr. McElroy proudly served his country in the US Army for thirty-eight years and in the US Army Reserves for forty years. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of sixty-one years, are a son, Dana R. McElroy of Easley; a daughter, Donna C. Ragan (Marie Nasworthy) of Easley; a sister, Sara McElroy; a brother-in-law, Douglas Prather; sisters-in-law, Melinda Guest and Tric Grizzle; grandchildren, Haley, Chelsea, Benjamin, Luke, Taylor, and Caleb; and great-grandchildren, Olivia, Madyson, Kyleigh, Liam, Amelia, Hazel, Cian, Emory, Nova, and Jackson.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Charles McElroy (Lottie), Keith McElroy, and sister, Donnell Allen (Grady).

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
