Lee William Porter, 93, of St. Lo Circle, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Capstone Health & Rehab.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late John William and Essie Duncan Porter, Mr. Porter was a self employed carpenter and of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the US Army.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Wilbanks Porter of the home; a son, Mark M. Porter of Easley; a brother, Ray Porter of Easley; a sister, Ruth Kirkus of Easley; two grandsons, Sean and Chris Porter; a granddaughter, Jennifer Howard; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Porter was predeceased by two brothers, Grady and Troy Porter, and by a sister, Pauline Ragsdale.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
Burial will be private.
The family is at the residence.
