Leland Grady Herring, 64, beloved husband of Shelia O’Donald Herring, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at his home.
Born on September 19, 1959, in Del Rio, TX, he was the son of the late George Almond Herring and Jean Laurel Bryant.
Leland retired from Clemson University Facilities Department after 28 years of dedicated service. He volunteered with the Corinth-Shiloh Fire Department in Seneca for 10 years serving as Lieutenant. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed dancing, having owned CU Dance in Clemson.
In addition to his wife, Shelia, of 15 years, he is survived by his sons, Joshua Leland Herring (Michelle) of Duncan, SC, Cody Brandon Herring (Amanda) of Seneca, and Timothy Cameron Donald (Paige) of Easley; grandchildren, Riley, Connor, and Kiley Herring, Trent Sorenson, Calvin Donald, and Cailynn Thompson; three sisters, Amanda Jane Lydia, Linda June Webb, and Juanita Gail Canzanella all of Seneca; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Sanctuary of Easley Church, 112 Beacon Hill Court, Easley, SC 29640 at 1PM with a memorial service to follow at 2PM.
