Lemuel Harriston, 56, of 304 Church Street died November 9, 2006 at AnMed Hospital. A native of Mt. Olive, NC, he was a son of the late Robert and Winnie Kornegay Harriston. He worked at the Brooklyn Museum and at CBS in New York before becoming disabled and leaving the workforce. He graduated from Carver H.S. in Mt. Olive, NC.
Surviving are a brother, Robert Harriston, Jr. and his wife Ivette of Richmond, VA; sister, Lillie Shelton and her husband Paul of Virginia Beach, VA; nephews, Karle, Billy, Kevin, Ian, Paul II, Bobby and Sean; nieces, Kyra, Linda, Lisa, Taleta, Sydney, Marisa and Mikaela and a host of cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Kay Temple and Shirley Burstion.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, November 14 at 1pm in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
