Leon Moody, 83, of 321 McConnell Road, passed away Wednesday October 20, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital.
Mr. Moody was born in Pickens County, SC, a son of the late Fred L. and Georgeanne Ellenburg Moody. He was self-employed residential builder and a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was attending Nine Forks Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Jean McConnell Moody, of the home; two daughters, Kim Moody Jackson and husband, Jeff, of Marietta, SC and Boots R. Roberts, of Easley; a step-sister, Martha Finley, of Greenville and a granddaughter, Samantha Roberts, of Easley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-brother, Henry Homer Moody and two sisters, Eunice Martin and Lucille Daniel.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Travelers Rest, SC.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
