John Leroy Julian, Jr., 79, of 301 Kingsberry Drive, husband of the late Ella Naomi Pace Julian, died Monday, July 13, 2009, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late John Lee and Cora Lee Smith Julian, Mr. Julian retired as President of AAA Fastener Supply, Inc. He was a member of Bates Masonic Lodge and a member of Hejaz Shrine having served as Captain of the Shriners Hospital Guide Unit. Mr. Julian was a veteran of the Korean War having served with the US Army and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two sons, John L. Julian, III, of Greenville, and Terry Julian and wife, Susan, of Easley; two daughters, Pat Case and husband, Rev. David Case, and Kathy Morgan and husband, Chris, all of Easley; a brother, Rev. Ellis Julian of Cocoa Beach, FL; grandchildren, Christie and Angela Julian, Brandon and wife, Kalah Julian, Brett Julian, Ben, Rebekah and Brianna Case, Alex Morgan, David Isom and wife, Jana, and Mary Isom Bruce and husband, Scott; a great-grandchild on the way; and Best Friend and Special Angel, Judy Bell. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Julian was predeceased by two brothers, William H. Julian and Ben Julian and by two sisters, Sarah Bruce and Edna Mae Julian.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with Rev. David Case, Rev. Mike Cothran and Rev. Roy McCall officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Honorary escort will be the Shriners Hospital Guide Unit.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
