LeRoy Robert Swayze

LeRoy Robert "Roy" Swayze, 75, husband of Joy Benbrook Swayze, passed away Monday June 13, 2016 at his home.
Born in New Jersey, Roy was a graduate of County College of Morris with a degree in Criminal Justice. He was retired from the Morris Township Police Department where he reached the rank of Lieutenant Detective. Following retirement, he worked as Chief of Campus Security at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He was a member of the New Jersey Policeman's Benevolent Association, and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anderson, SC where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Hill Toppers.
Roy loved Deer Hunting, acrylic painting and RV'ing. He was an expert marksman who taught his grandchildren to shoot skeet. He was also a member of the Belton Gun Club and was a US Navy Veteran.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are his children, Carl Ernest Anderson of Houston, TX and Susan McMaster (William) of Piedmont; grandchildren, Ryan, Meghan, Nicholas, Nathan and Rylee.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anderson.
