Leslie D. Jamison

Leslie Louise Dukes Jamison, 82, of 3 Ivy Springs Drive, and formerly of Easley, wife of the late Dr. E. A. "Jay" Jamison, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008, under the loving care of the McCall Hospice House.
Born in Charleston, S.C., Mrs. Jamison was a daughter of the late Daniel William and Sarah Massenburg Dukes. She was a was a graduate of Memminger High School and attended the MUSC Nursing Program. Mrs. Jamison served in the US Medical Corps during World War II.
She was a past Vice Chairperson of the S.C. State Republican Party, a former national delegate, and organizer of the Pickens County Republican Party. She was appointed by President Reagan to be a member of the Presidential Scholarship Committee. Also, Mrs. Jamison was a member of the National Republican Women's Club. She was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church.
Surviving are two sons, William Robert "Bill" Jamison and his wife, Susan, of Simpsonville, and John Charles "Jack" Jamison and his wife, Bobbie, of Greer; a sister, JoAnn Fowler and her husband, Tom, of Mt. Pleasant; and three grandchildren, Lauren Susanne Jamison, William Kyle McKinney and Johnson Thomas Jamison.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
