Rev. Lewe Scott Woodham, 76, husband of Betty Ann Watkins Woodham, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012, at his home.
Born in Dale County, AL, the son of the late Lewe Fletcher and Lydia Mae Scott Woodham, the Rev. Woodham retired from the South Carolina United Methodist Conference, having also served churches in Alabama-West Florida and Iowa Conferences. He graduated from Huntingdon College, Montgomery, AL, BS degree, Emory University, Atlanta, with a Master of Divinity degree, and from Clemson University with an MA degree.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years Betty Ann Woodham of the home; daughters, Lydia Roseann Woodham of Easley, Gina Lee Woodham Stubbs (Richard) of Atlanta, and Sara Jill Woodham Powell of Easley; two grandsons, Jeffery Powell and Cole Powell of Easley; a sister, Amelia Carter (Rick) of Boca Raton, FL a special aunt, Mable Baldwin of Mobile, AL; twelve nieces and nephews, Rick, Scott and Brett Carter; Rob, Mike and Cliff Watkins, Jamie Senyard, Bob and Ron Weems, Lisa Zevitz, Doyle Jeanes and Catherine Graham. He was predeceased by a son, Lewe Scott Woodham, Jr., a sister, Mittie Hicks and a nephew, James Douglas Watkins, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at 2:00 PM. A graveside service will be at Hatchechubbee First United Methodist Church Cemetery on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at 1:00 PM in Hatchechubbee, AL.
