Lewis Ellis Davis, 89, beloved husband of 61 years to the late Doris Jacks Davis, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at his home.

Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Zelma Augustus Davis and Ola Lydia O’Sheal Davis.

Mr. Davis was a 1956 graduate of Easley High School. He was an engineer in the concrete industry, a custom home builder, and enjoyed farming his land. He was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where he formerly served on the building and grounds committee.

Surviving are his children, Robby L. Davis (Kelley) of Greenville; a daughter, Allison D. Thompson (Grady) of Easley; four grandchildren, Carley Davis Dreybus (Sean), Lydia Davis Hosting (Kyle), Josie Davis Leach (Brendan), and Bo Davis; and great-grandchildren, Frankie, Faye, Jack, Calvin, and Benny.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was predeceased by a daughter, Doris Lynn Davis, and a sister, Mildred Beeco.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.

In Lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorials be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 1623 Hester Store Road, Easley, SC 29640.
