Mr. Lewis E. Orr, 86, husband of Mrs. Ivory Merritt Orr, of 544 Breezedale Road, passed away Monday, October 4, 2010 at the Rainey Hospice House, Anderson.
Born in Oconee County, a son of the late Harrison Edwards and Ollie Jones Orr, Mr. Orr was a retired builder and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Orr is survived by two daughters, Margaret Bloxdorf of Easley and Kathryn Fedele (Ray) of Anderson; one brother, Harrison Edwards Orr, Jr. of Walhalla; three grandchildren, Hollie Bloxdorf Heming (Jason) of Chapin, Emily Bloxdorf of Easley, and Eric Fedele of San Diego, CA; one great-grandchild, Will Heming.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Cross Roads Baptist Church with the Reverends Richard Spearman and Mark Ford officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
Memorials may be made to the Crossroads Baptist Church building fund, 160 Cross Roads Church Road, Easley, SC 29640, Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621, or Camp McCall RA Camp, 108 Ambassador Road, Sunset, SC 29685.
