LILA MAE HUNTER Central

Lila Mae Hunter, 89, widow of Theodore Hunter, passed away March 5, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville. Born in 1918 to Walker and Lula Hudgen James, she would have been 90 years old on April 10. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church in Central and retired from Celanese Corporation as beamer operator. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, she will be missed by many.

She is survived by her children: daughter, Jane McAlister of Central and son, E.T. (Teddy) Hunter and his wife Elaine of Clemson. She is also survived by her grand-children and great-grandchildren: Harold (Macky) Hunter and his wife Angela and their daughter Brittany of Abbeville, Tracy Hunter Richards and her husband Ronnie and children Tricia and Jennifer Isbell of Pendleton, Patrick Hunter of Pendleton, Lisa McAlister Seaborn and husband Doug and their children Amanda, Emily Ladd, Hollianne, Eli and Hunter Seaborn of Central, Richard Hunter and his wife Alice and their children Casey and Alex of Anderson, Tommy G. McAlister II, his wife Ali and their son Trey of Abbeville, and Captain Johnathan Westbrook and wife Kristy and their son Michael of Ft. Hood, Texas.

In addition to her loving husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Westbrook, grandson Eddie Baggs and son-in-law, Tommy McAlister. She was also predeceased by a sister, Mary B. James and brothers: Homer, Johnny and Milton James.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2pm at Trinity Wesleyan Church with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The body is at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7-9pm on Sunday and will be placed in the church on Monday at 1pm. The family will be at the home of Jane McAlister, 231 Pike Road, Central, SC 29630. Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Trinity Wesleyan Church, 700 Issaqueena Trail, Central, SC 29630.
