Lillian Mason Garrett Begley, 88, passed away at Manna Health Care in Pickens, South Carolina on September 18, 2013.
She was born in Norris, South Carolina to the late Thomas Moore Garrett and Grace Mason Stallings Garrett. Mrs. Begley was a graduate of Liberty High School, Greenville General Hospital School of Nursing and Texas Christian University. She worked as a nurse in hospital settings, specializing in operating rooms and also in Public Health. She served her country as a nurse in World War II, where she was stationed in England and Germany. She met her late husband, John Francis Begley in Germany, where they both served in the United States Air Force.
Mrs. Begley is survived by her sister, Ruth Garrett Wells; beloved nieces and nephews, and devoted friends Sharon and Ansel Miller.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Tom Jr., Jake, and Hal.
