Lillie Morene McDonald

Lillie Morene Stasney McDonald, 89, of Central, South Carolina died July 24, 2025 at The Rainey Hospice House, Anderson, SC.

 Born on January 29, 1936 to the late Paul and Annie Mae Leopard Stasney in Iva, South Carolina. Lillie is now dancing without the chronic pain she suffered during her earthly life

Lillie is survived by her daughter, Carol McDonald Hood Golightly. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Carissa Marie Hood-Pope (Jay), Stephen Lee McDonald (Twanna Bell), Amber Michelle McDonald (Morgan Neal), and Jonathan Christopher Wayne McDonald. She is also survived by three great grandchildren: Dwight Frank Hufstetler, III; Destiny Karma Powell; James Russell Pope, IV; Lillian Sue McDonald; and the expected arrival of her great great granddaughter, Kinsleigh Ann Hufstetler. A special acknowledgement of thanks goes to her son-in-law, Ronnie Eugene Hood, who was very dear and special to Lillie and spent days by her side at the Rainey Hospice House.

Lillie was predeceased by her parents; husband of 34 years, Albert Lee McDonald; sons, Danny Lee and Steve McDonald; grandchild Jefferson McDonald; son-in-law Clarence Brent Golightly; daughter-in-law Susan McDonald; brother Henry Stasney; sisters, Edna Stasney Burton and Joyce Stasney Chambers.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Rainey Hospice House, Anderson, SC.

A private Remembrance Gathering will be at a later date.
