Mrs. Lilly Ruth Morgan Gilstrap, 93, of 309 Preston Street, Easley, loving wife of the late Melvin Warren Gilstrap, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at her residence.

Ruth was born in Anderson County on September 16, 1922 to the late William Earl and Lilly Corn Morgan. She retired from Alice Manufacturing Company after 40 years of service and in her free time enjoyed fishing, dancing, traveling to the mountains or taking dinner cruises in Charleston, and loved her family. She was a member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church for over 60 years. 

Mrs. Gilstrap is survived by her two daughters; Brenda Robison and Marcella Rowland (Bobby), both of Easley; five grandchildren; Tandra Alexander of Liberty, Crystal Miller of Easley, Melvin Alexander (Nancy) of Easley, Angel Clarkson (Robert) of Easley, and Shunda Greer of Easley; twelve great-grandchildren; Shané Pierce, Christopher Alexander, Kayla Pierce, Barry Pierce, Seanna Miller, Brittni Ford, Jasmine Miller, Jacob Alexander, Anysia Rowland, Jase Greer, Katlin Greer, and Morgan Clarkson; and six great-great-grandchildren; Trevor Alexander, Noah Pierce, Anna Alexander, Jonah Pierce, Alonna Miller, and Ezra Ford.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers; Chaw "Bill" Morgan, Yauell Morgan, and Hobbie Morgan; and two sisters, Pauline Morgan Suttles and Grace Morgan Rankin.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Pendleton Street Baptist Church, 601 S. Pendleton Street, Easley, SC 29640. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the Church prior to the service on Monday from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM.

The family will be at the residence.
