Linda Gail Ballard ,70, of Easley, South Carolina, passed away on October 3, 2023, at her residence with her family by her side. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was born in Pickens, South Carolina, the daughter of Breeman Gilstrap and Mary Anna Anthony.


Linda was a very loving and caring lady with a kind heart. She exemplified compassion and empathy in every aspect of her life. It was evident that she deeply cherished the happiness and well-being of those around her.

Throughout her life, Linda had various hobbies and interests that brought her immense joy. She found great pleasure in cooking meals and entertaining friends and family. Traveling to new destinations, playing golf, and snow skiing were activities that gave her great joy. In her younger days, she loved to shag dance.

Linda was an avid reader who treasured spending time engrossed in novels and most importantly, the Bible that held profound significance to her faith. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Easley.

Above all else, Linda cherished moments spent with family and friends. She valued these relationships immensely and never took them for granted. If you were fortunate enough to be considered Linda's friend, you were guaranteed a loyal companion for life. Her loyalty extended beyond words; it was something she actively demonstrated through unwavering support and care.

She loved being a realtor with ReMax and helping families find the perfect house to transform into their home brought her immense satisfaction. She consistently went above and beyond for each family she served, ensuring their needs were met with exceptional care.

Surrounded by her loving family until the end, Linda Gail Ballard left behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved and cherished her.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Steve Ballard; her daughter, Kelly Williamson (Patrick); her grandchildren that she loved dearly, Marianna and Hayes Williamson; her brothers, Tony Gilstrap (Patti) and Billy Jones (Renee); and her sister, Denise Burnett (Dacus). Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Breeman Gilstrap and Mary Anna Anthony.


A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at Robinson Funeral Home on Powdersville Road in Easley, South Carolina. Following the visitation, a memorial service to honor Linda’s life will begin at 2:00 PM at the same location.

 

In this time of mourning, let us come together to celebrate Linda Gail Ballard's life and remember the remarkable woman she was. Her genuine love and care for others serve as an enduring reminder to spread kindness and compassion throughout our own lives.

May she find eternal peace, knowing that she made a significant difference in the lives of those around her.
