Linda Marie Howard Bean, 69, of 3706 East North Street, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011, at NHC of Greer.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Leroy and Mamie Dodson Howard, Mrs. Bean retired from the Gayley Plant of Millikin Corp. after twenty-five years of service. She was a member of White Horse Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Jim Bean of the home; a daughter, Donna Patterson Bane (Randy) of Hendersonville, NC; two brothers, Clarence Howard of Easley and Melvin Howard of Pickens; two sisters, Nell Burns of Fountain Inn and Louise Smith of Gastonia, NC; a step-son, Terry L. Bean of Simpsonville; a step-daughter, Cindy Womack of Duncan; grandchildren, David Bane, Rebecca Morgan, Bridger Bane, Colter Bane, Crystal, Caitlyn and Cody Womack and Brittany Bean; two great-grandsons, Sawyer and Boone Morgan; and two special friends, Pam Satterfield of Woodruff and Shirley Russell of Lyman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bean was predeceased by her brothers, Harold Howard, Clyde Howard and by her biological mother, Ora Gibson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Dr. Randy Bane, Pastor Mark Alexander and Evangelist David Bane officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home, prior to the service.
