Linda Stegall Chappell, 79, wife of Troy R. Chappell, of Easley, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021.

Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Ruben and Mary Shirley Stegall.

Mrs. Chappell retired from McKissick Elementary after 30 years of employment and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She loved spending time in her garden tending to her beautiful flowers.

In addition to her loving husband of 61 years, Mrs. Chappell is survived by a son, David Chappell (Diane) of Easley; a daughter, Dianne Simmons (Jacky) of Easley; a sister, Mary Ann Leslie of Easley; six grandchildren, Michelle Simmons, Matthew Simmons (Allison), Shana Proffitt (Josh), Daniel Chappell (Regan), Justin Chappell, and Levi Chappell; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Chappell was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Chappell; and eight siblings, Dot Stegall, Wayne Stegall, Sara S. McNeely, Ellen S. Tate, Harold Stegall, Pat Stegall, Jimmy Stegall, and Peggy S. Gilstrap.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at the church.
