Linda Bracken Evatt

Linda Bracken Evatt, wife of the late Carl Thomas Major "Tommy" Evatt, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023. She was the daughter of the late T. Cecil and Dorothy Hunter Bracken.

Linda was born in Monroe, Louisiana July 24, 1944. She was a graduate of Easley High School Class of 1962. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, having served as organist, GA Leader, WMU Director, Sunday School teacher for 30 years, and a member of the choir.

Linda retired from Liberty Life Insurance Company as an administrative assistant. She loved spending time with family and friends and going to Fripp Island every chance that came her way.

She is survived by brothers; Barry and wife Resa, Danny and wife Barbara, and Alvin. She was proud to be the aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by a brother, Tommy.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM at Rock Springs Baptist Church with the service to follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel of the church. The burial will be in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering of Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642.
