Linda Dunaway Gilstrap, 74, wife of Harold Dean Gilstrap, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.
Born in Clinton, to the late Daniel and Emma Lawson Dunaway, Linda was part of the Clinton High School graduating class of 1957, and last worked at Southeastern Products until her retirement. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who would do anything for her family. Mrs. Gilstrap loved going to her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. She was always on time and ready to cheer them on, no matter where the game was being played. Every year she would take a trip to Hilton Head with her family, and whenever she had a moment, loved to go shopping.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of fifty years, is a daughter, Tonya G. Eppes (Wade), of Simpsonville; a son, Craig A. Gilstrap (Beth), of North Augusta; two sisters, Delores Jones (Tip) and Janice Woods (Maxcy), both of Simpsonville; four grandchildren, Carly Gilstrap, Abby Gilstrap, Jolie Eppes and Chloe Eppes; a step-grandchild, Kyle Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Roger and Richard Dunaway.
Memorial services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 26, 2014, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
Visitation will be from 1:30 P.M. until 2:45 P.M. Sunday, prior to the service at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Tonya Eppes.
