Linda Dyar Golightly

Linda Dyar Golightly, 81, of Central, wife to William “Bill” Golightly, passed away May 5, 2023.

Born in Pickens County, She was the daughter of Lee and Mozelle Gordon Dyar. She graduated from D.W. Daniel High School and worked as an Administrative Assistant at Mt. Pleasant Academy. Linda loved her family, being outdoors, animals, and cooking. She was a previous member of the League of Women Voters and Charleston County Democratic Party.

She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Golightly and nephew, Bryan Dyar and wife Jodie of Anderson. Mrs. Golightly is as survived by many extended family members and friends.

Linda is predeceased by her parents, brother, Johnny Lee Dyar, and nephew, Johnny Lee Dyar, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Old Stone Church Cemetery.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Agape Hospice for the love and care they gave Linda in her final months.
