Linda H. Martin

Linda Harris Martin, a beloved mother, grandmother, and former elementary school teacher, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Central, SC. She was born in Shelby, North Carolina in 1947 to Charles and Irene Greene Harris.
 
Linda pursued a career in education, earning a BS degree before gracefully transitioning to dedicating her time to raising her children. Despite stepping back from teaching, Linda never ceased her involvement with education by volunteering at her children’s school and later working for a CPA company.
 
Described as a giver with a heart of gold, Linda's selfless nature extended to all those around her. She found joy in ensuring the happiness and well-being of her loved ones, embracing every opportunity to make others' lives better. Her friendly spirit knew no bounds as she effortlessly connected with people from all walks of life.
 
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Darryl Martin and a sister, Anne Harris. She is survived by her daughter, Darla King and her husband, James, and son Charles Martin. Linda also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Emma, Noah, and Addison King.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, March 11^th at Rutherfordton City Cemetery, 408 N Main St, Rutherfordton, NC.
