Linda Newton Jordan, 61, of 115 Myrtle Lane, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday Morning at Oconee Medical Center.
Born in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of Edwin Earl and Dorothy Moore Newton of Central. Linda was a graduate of Daniel High School and a retired medical lab technician. She was life-long Wesleyan having grown up in the Clemson Wesleyan Church and was currently a member of Pickens View Wesleyan Church.
Surviving in addition to her parents are two sons, Jason Blackburn of Clinton, SC and David Zachary Blackburn of the home; three brothers, Edwin Earl Newton, Jr, and wife, Beth of Central, David Kenneth Newton and wife, Sherri and Michael Lee Newton and wife, Patti all of Anderson; and one sister, Becky Monroe of Central.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, David R. Jordan; and a sister, Earlene Newton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday at Pickens View Wesleyan Church with Revs. Lewis Edwards and Arnold Beard officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Central.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
The family is at the home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pickens View Wesleyan Church, 744 Bethlehem Ridge Road, Pickens, SC 29671.
