Linda W. Martin, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, 70, of Central, SC passed away November 10, 2011.
Born 1941 in Oconee, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Judson and Emma Irene Webb of Clemson. After receiving her bachelor of science and master�??s degrees in Accounting in 1983 and 1993 from Clemson University, Linda was the Budget Director for the Clemson Extension Service where she retired in 2000. She was an avid Clemson fan and quilter.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 53 years, Joe A. Martin; daughter Lisa M. McCall and husband Mike of Anderson; son Edward H Martin and wife Karen of Central; daughter Lynn Martin and John Wisham of Central; granddaughter Leslie A. McCall and her fiancée Jeff Hunter of Central; grandson Tyler M. McCall of Anderson; granddaughter Caroline E. Martin of Clemson, and step-grandsons Jared R. Alewine of Greenville and Hayden E. Alewine of Boulder, CO; a brother George M. Webb of Irmo, SC; her beloved caregiver and friend Ann Cromer of Central and numerous nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth E. Webb.
A celebration of Mrs. Martin�??s life will be held at 2 o�??clock Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist Church of Clemson with burial to follow at Memory Gardens in Clemson.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Sunday afternoon at the church prior to the service.
The family will be at the home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the organ fund c/o The First Baptist Church of Clemson, 397 College Avenue, Clemson, SC 29631.
