Linda Grace Wood McCracken, 80, of 312 Princess Grace Ave., wife of Alden L. McCracken, died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Canton, NC, she was a daughter of the late Seth and Grace Rogers Wood. Linda was a homemaker and a very active member of Pendleton First Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Lynn (Kevin) Xie of Shanghai, Peoples Republic of China and Jan McCracken of Pendleton; granddaughter, Anna Grace Xie; sisters, Lucille Czarnecki of Clyde, NC, Birdie Powell of Bethel, NC and Kay Penland of Huntsville, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Tom Wood and Gerald Wood; and a sister June Trantham.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Pendleton with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Pendleton, P.O. Box 187, Pendleton, SC 29670.
