Linda Sudduth Simmons, 72, wife of Joel P. Simmons passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 at her home.
Born in Easley, she was the daughter of the late Herman F. and Pearl Josie Rampey Sudduth. Linda graduated from Easley High School, Class of 1963. She retired from First Baptist Church, Easley after 25 years of service in the child development center.
Linda was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and the Seekers Sunday School Class.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 50 years, are her three daughters, Stacey Simmons Dotson (Tommy), of Easley; Gretchen Simmons Carpenter (Bryan), of Pickens; and Jeanna Simmons; seven grandchildren, Chloe Dotson, Madelyn Dotson, Beyla Carpenter, Ozzie Carpenter, Isabella Dotson, Rebecca Dotson and Pearla Carpenter; her siblings, Marvin Sudduth (deceased) and his wife Violet Sudduth; Troy Sudduth (Joyce), Mary Ann Stansell (Bruce "Red", deceased); and Barbara Cameron (James "Cam"); and many beloved nieces, nephews,extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 2:00pm at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Dr. David Gallamore officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 12:30pm - 1:45pm at the church.
