Linda Swaney, 66, died Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca. She was born in Monetta, SC, the daughter of the late Earl R. Sr. and Vera Cain Spurlock. She was a devoted member of Fant�??s Grove Baptist Church, serving as a S.S. Teacher and Head of the Church Nursery. She was known as Mama Linda and had a caring heart for children and youth.
She is survived by sons, Timothy Swaney and Bradley McMillan both of Pendleton, daughter, Tammy Foster of Central; sisters, Margaret Black of Seneca and Debbie Theiss of Leesville, SC; grandchildren, Kayla, Jamie , Savannah, Dakota, and Jackson Swaney; step-grandchildren, Jessie and Josh Jones and a caring companion, John Clark. She was predeceased by husband, Tommy Swaney; son, Scooter Swaney; sisters, Sue, Faye, Ruth, Icelene and brothers, Earl, Jr., Will, Ed and Sam.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 3pm at Fant�??s Grove Baptist Church in Pendleton with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8pm at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central. The family is at the home of sister, Mike & Tammy Foster, 1101 Central Road, Central, SC 29630.
