It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Linda Louise Waldrop, fondly remembered by many as “JP”, on Tuesday, October 11th, 2022. Without a doubt she is rejoicing with her mama and daddy and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Linda was 77 years young and lived her entire life in Easley. She was the cherished daughter of the late John “JP” and Geneva Martin Waldrop.
Linda’s life was devoted to her parents whom she lovingly cared for until their deaths. Linda loved her extended family especially her cousins and their children. She also dearly loved her church family at Pendleton Street and earlier at Geer Memorial.
Linda enjoyed college and pro football, especially the Tigers and the Cowboys. She loved to “go” but she was always anxious to get back home. She looked forward to spending time with her friends. One would often find them at a Mexican restaurant. She also loved the huddle and Starbucks. Many thanks to all Linda’s friends who helped us entertain and help her over the years. Linda was a faithful member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church Easley and the Sunshine Sunday School Class. Linda also loved music and sang in the choir.
Linda was the last living member of her immediate family but was lovingly cared for by her Aunt Mary and her cousins who were more like siblings and nieces and nephews.
Her Memorial Service will be Sunday, October 16th at 2:00pm at Pendleton Street Baptist Church Easley, SC with visitation beginning at 1:15pm. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.
The family would also like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to Hospice and Palliative Care Palmetto Region. Jamie and Angela were the bright spot each day in what was a difficult time for our family. You truly are angels on earth.
Linda absolutely loved flowers and they will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to Pendleton Street Baptist Church Easley SC.
