Lindsey Philip Elrod, Sr., 71, of 109 Stratford Dr., husband of Marsha Rankin Elrod, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born March 22, 1943 in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Charles Philip and Annie Mae Cole Elrod. For more than thirty years, Mr. Elrod was a self-employed general contractor owning Terco, Inc. He loved staying active by working, fishing and boating in the Isle of Palms.

In addition to his wife of thirty one years, he is survived by his children, Lindsey Elrod, Jr., and Terri Elrod; sisters, Joyce Elrod and Janice Degear (Harry); brothers, Pete Elrod and Chris Elrod.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Slabtown Presbyterian Church Cemetery, off Hwy. 88 on Bagwell Rd., Liberty.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.

The family is at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Meyer Center for Special Children, 1132 Rutherford Road, Greenville, SC 29609.
