Llewellyn Jones was born in Wales, Great Britain on August 6, 1920. He served in the Royal Air Force during World War II, and later emigrated to the United States, where he became a naturalized citizen in 1962.
After living in California for over thirty years, he moved to South Carolina in 1992, with his wife Shirley, who died shortly after that move. From 1994 to 2009 he lived in Pendleton, at 430 S. Elm Street. The last four months of his life were spent at the For a Season Assisted Living in Seneca, where he died of natural causes on April 9, 2010. He is survived by no immediate family members. His ashes will be interred at Oconee Memorial Park in Seneca.
