Lloyd Thomas Doughty, III, 64, of Easley and husband of Doris Nicholson Doughty, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital - Downtown, Greenville.
Mr. Doughty was born in Norfolk, Virginia, the son of Virginia Patton Doughty, of Chesapeake, Virginia and the late Lloyd Thomas Doughty, II. He retired from the U.S. Army Aviation Division after serving 22 years, including a tour in Vietnam.. He was a Christian.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are his son, Nicholas Doughty and his wife, Janna, of Spartanburg, SC; a daughter, Charlotte Marie Cole and her husband, Darren, of San Jose, California; a sister, Emily Doughty, of Chesapeake, Virginia and a grandson, Cpl. Robert McClaflin, of San Diego, California.
A memorial service, with full military honors, will be 3:00 pm Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 2:45 pm Saturday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
The family is at their residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis Foundation, 1 St. Francis Drive, Greenville, SC 29601 Attn: Outpatient Cancer Center at Millenium, Cardio Care or Diabetic Care.
