Lloyd Samuel Holder, 76, of 1756 Old Seneca Road and husband of Martha Holliday Holder, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at his home.
Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Verner Samuel Henderson and Lillie Mae Merck Holder. Lloyd was a retired electrician and was a member of Kings Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 sons, Carlis Holder (Carol) of Anderson, Daniel Holder (Rita) of Central and Dan'l Holder (Kerry) of Six Mile; 3 daughters, Kay Brice (J.B.) of Salem, Judy Owens (Jim) and Darlene Owens (Mark) both of Central; 6 brothers, Leland Holder, Louis Holder and Luther Holder all of Central, Leonard Holder and L.V. Holder both of Six Mile and Lester Holder of Hendersonville, NC; 3 sisters, Louise Black of Six Mile, Leona Carolyn Dodgens of Liberty and Linda Hancox of Easley; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren on the way.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Leroy Holder; and a sister, Lola Chambers.
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Wednesday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
