Lois McCall Brissey Massingale, 79, formerly of 415 Randall Road, wife of the late Kentworth Blandean "Kent" Massingale, died Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Floyd Anderson and Vennie Martin McCall, Mrs. Massingale was formerly employed with Sangamo Electric Company and was a member of Last Day Message Holiness Church.
Surviving are three sons, Johnny Brissey of Atlanta, Jimmy Brissey of Iva and Jerry Brissey of Ware Shoals; a daughter, Debbie Getz of Greenville; five brothers, David McCall and Stanley McCall, both of Easley, Dannis McCall and Donnie McCall, both of Pendleton, and Larry McCall of Anderson; a sister, Betty Gilreath of Easley; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Massingale was predeceased by a brother, William McCall, two sisters, Samantha Willimon and Sarah Smith, and by two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Last Day Message Holiness Church with Rev. Shirley Barrett and Rev. Sheila Brissey officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m. Friday.
Family members are at their respective homes.
