Lois Covil Melton passed away on January 9, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

Born on September 25, 1941, she was the beloved daughter of the late Herbert (Hub) Covil and the late Ressie Covil. She attended Forest Jr. College and married David Randal Melton. Lois pursued and excelled at a number of professions, but her most admirable profession was being a full time mother to her children Wanda and David. She devoted herself to providing a loving and nurturing home for them.

She soon became "grandmommie" to Jarrod, Ruthie, Josh and Jennifer. Later she had five great-grandchildren, Zeke, Maya, Ava, Baylor and Asher who were her greatest joys and the loves of her life. Lois had a wonderful balance of love, grace and gentleness. She is also survived by her sisters Barbara Fortune and Sandra Crawley.

Her love and laughter will live on in the hearts and memories of everyone who knew her.
