Lois Guy Whitman, Jr., of 1130 Autun Road and husband of Margaret Todd Whitman, died Monday, November 22, 2010 at An Med Health.
Born in LaFrance, he was a son of the late Mamie Smith and Lois G. Whitman, Sr. Lois was a retired employee of Riegel Textiles at LaFrance and a member of LaFrance Church of God.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home, are two daughters, Dr. Debbie Black of Batesburg, SC; and Connie Porter and husband, Larry of Cornelia, GA;
grandchildren, Stacy Osment and husband, Pete; Natalie Etheridge and husband, Scott; Nathan Porter and wife, Noelle; and William Black; great-grandchildren, Emma, Anna-Claire and Chloe Osment; Bennett and Sydney Etheridge; and Chase Porter; brother, O'Dell Whitman of Sandy Springs, SC; two sisters, Janie Willis of Anderson; and Edith Hopson of Martin, GA;
In addition to his parents, Lois was predeceased by 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wednesday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM, Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
