Lona Sherman Alexander, 88, of 102 Cobblestone Drive and widow of George Charlie Alexander died Tuesday at the Cottingham Hospice House.
Born in Easley, she was a daughter of the late John Franklin and Lela Pauline Smith Sherman. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Ron Alexander and wife, Carolyn of Liberty and Mike Alexander and wife, Maryann of Central; grandchildren Angie Alexander, Connie (Kerry) Avery, Jon (Raquela) Alexander, Kelly (Trey) Hock and Jenny (Brian) Mahon; and great-grandchildren, Trevor and Tanner Avery, Ethan and Griffin Alexander, Parker Hock,Luke Mahon and three on the way.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Friday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Dickard officiating.
Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:45 Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of Mike and Maryann Alexander, 122 Foxfire Road, Central, SC 29630.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Oconee Hospice of the Foothills c/o Oconee Medical Foundation, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672.
